ARTWORKER/TEMPLATE SPECIALIST

SALARY £OPEN (Depending on Experience) + 29 Days inc Bank Holidays (Rising with service)+ Onsite Parking

HOURS OF WORK: 8:30am till 4:30pm OR 9am till 5pm

Our client is a specialist in the garment industry, they supply tickets, fabric labels and adhesive labels to the apparel industry, with manufacturing sites in key locations around the world.

They are currently looking for a motivated and dependable Artworker & Template Specialist to join their team working within an apparel print and packaging industry as part of a forward thinking company. You will be responsible for ensuring all artwork is produced with precision, adhering to brand guidelines and technical specifications. You will also contribute to template creation and large-scale project rollouts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately naming and storing digital files while maintaining version control
  • Reviewing completed artwork to ensure compliance with briefs and brand guidelines
  • Verifying artwork specifications (fonts, resolution, colours, dimensions)
  • Managing and prioritising tasks using internal systems and updating managers during peak periods
  • Testing new templates end-to-end to ensure correct proof and PRA file generation, including impositions
  • Working alongside studio managers or developers to create master templates and reusable assets
  • Leading larger projects, such as onboarding new retailers or updating templates for workflow and brand enhancements

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for producing print-ready artwork
  • Experience with XMPie for variable data template creation (training can be provided for the right candidate)
  • Familiarity with Esko software for artwork automation and workflows
  • Pre-press production experience
  • Graphic design background, particularly for print media
  • Solid understanding of brand guideline adherence and design consistency
  • Experience managing workloads using ticketing or task management systems
  • Excellent communication skills across departments
  • Understanding of proofing, imposition, and final file preparation for print production
  • Knowledge of testing processes for production files
  • Exceptionally organised with strong prioritisation skills
  • Collaborative, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn new tools and processes
  • Able to respond well to change and integrate new workflows and technologies
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and produce artwork to exacting standards
