ARTWORKER / DESIGNER - SIGNAGE & GRAPHICS
ESSEX
Up to £32K
Hours: 8am - 5:30pm
Our client is a growing signage and graphics specialist, offering a wide range of services including construction signage, vehicle wraps, wall/window graphics, banners, and more. They are seeking a Signage Artworker / Graphic Designer to produce high-quality large format artwork, ensure brand consistency, and support their expanding business.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with both the Sales Department and the Signage Artwork Team to provide artistic direction
- Prepare artwork ready for print using mainly Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Good ability to manage workload and be independent in doing so
- Create creative and promotional marketing services for in house campaigns
- Ensure artwork meets print and production standards, such as colour, spell check, typography and image quality
- Ensure artwork is sent to the correct specification, such as including reg marks, bleed etc.
- Carry out amends to existing concepts
- Resizing existing artworks
- Creating new artworks whilst liaising with clients and Studio/Production Manager.
- Ensure all work is delivered according to the brand and corporate identity guidelines provided by the customer.
- Create print ready artwork for both internal and external production
- Construct master templates for use throughout the organisation
- Administration tasks such as quoting, invoicing and raising orders
- Being responsible for identifying potential areas for sales opportunities both locally and nationally
- Supporting the Studio Manager with Lead Generation
- Maintain excellent relationships with customers
- Support and enable the Studio Team to achieve individual, team and company targets
Skills Required:
- A signage background or some experience with technical signage
- Knowledge of how to work with the following materials: Foamex, Allupanel, Vinyl, Stainless Steel
- Confident working from technical surveys/drawings
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Knowledge Adobe Creative Suite programmes: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
- Strong retouching and visualisation skills
- Ability to create visual concepts
- Strong layout and typographical skills
- Strong communication and telephone skills
- Good collaborative skills in order to work closely with all departments within UGX/USS
- Great reporting skills
- Creative flair and an eye for design
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to work well to deadlines
