SALARY £OPEN (Depending On Experience) + 26 Days Holiday + Pension

ROTATING 3 SHIFT PATTERN: 6:00am - 1:30pm - Monday to Friday
1:30pm - 9:00pm - Monday to Friday
9:00pm - 6:00am - Monday to Thursday

Our client is an independent and highly successful manufacturer of printed folding cartons, supplying a range of markets including food, health and beauty, confectionery and gifting.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Printer's Assistant to join a busy and well-established manufacturing environment. Looking for a self-motivated, hands-on individual with experience in lithographic printing who is keen to develop their skills and become an integral part of a close-knit production team.

Working alongside experienced printers and production colleagues, you will play an important role in supporting the efficient operation of the printing department, maintaining high standards of quality, productivity and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the operation and running of lithographic printing machinery
• Assisting the Printer with the day-to-day operation and maintenance of presses
• Working to achieve high standards of quality, productivity and efficiency
• Minimise waste and understand the commercial impact of quality & machine performance
• Working flexibly across different areas of the factory when required
• Following all relevant Health & Safety, BRC and Quality procedures
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Working with colleagues to meet production targets and customer requirements
• Contributing to a positive, customer-focused production environment

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of lithographic printing machinery
• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
• A positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Good commercial awareness, particularly around quality, waste and machine productivity
• The flexibility to support other areas of the factory when required
• A good understanding of Health & Safety and quality procedures
• The ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit team
• A genuine focus on delivering quality work and meeting customer expectations
