PLATEN OPERATOR (NIGHT SHIFT) - POS DISPLAY

LONDON / KENT

£Competitive salary (Depending on Experience) + Overtime available (Time & ½) + 5 weeks per annum (pro rata) + Average earnings holiday pay

Hours (Night shift): 9pm - 5:30am / Monday - Thursday (35 hours per week)

Our client is a leading Point of Sale (POS) display manufacturer seeking an experienced and reliable Platen Operator to join the night shift production team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain platen cutting machinery safely and efficiently
• Set up jobs in accordance with production specifications and schedules
• Ensure all work meets required quality standards and client expectations
• Monitor machine performance and carry out routine maintenance checks
• Identify and resolve issues to minimise downtime
• Work collaboratively with production and finishing teams
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Accurately complete production records and documentation

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience operating platen or die-cutting machinery (ideally within POS, print, or packaging)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good problem-solving skills and mechanical awareness
• Understanding of health & safety procedures in a manufacturing environment
• Flexibility and reliability, particularly for night shift work
