HOURS OF WORKING: 9AM-5PM

TERRITORY: Covering UK Wide

Our client is a specialist paper and paperboard manufacturer providing bespoke sized paper for a wide range of requirements, from standard corrugating grades to the more specialist interleaving, wrapping, packing and void fill papers in a variety of roll sizes and lengths.

They are currently looking to recruit an ambitious results driven Business Development Manager to join the team committing to delivering excellence and driving growth. You will be selling sustainable packaging such as Honeycomb Paper, Embossed Paper, Fanfold Paper, Counter Rolles and Paper Bags. The role is around 80% New Business 20% Existing Accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to identify and secure new clients and partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential customers, distributors, and industry influencers
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including new markets, product lines, and target customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company
  • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with customers, ensuring mutually beneficial terms
  • Stay up to date with industry developments and best practices

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or in a similar role
  • Understanding of paper products and knowledge of the industry with contacts in merchant circles
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full Valid Driving Licence
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite
