Our client is a manufacturer of Bespoke, Premium Printed Folded Cartons servicing some of the UK's best-known companies and leading brands. Our client is renowned for their high levels of quality and service and is genuinely an excellent business to work for

They are looking to recruit an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager with a strong hunter mentality to accelerate new business wins across their target sectors.

The Role

This is a pure new business role focused on identifying, developing and converting new opportunities across their target sectors. Success will be measured on your ability to build a strong pipeline, engage decision-makers and secure profitable new customers.

You will be responsible for generating your own opportunities, developing strategic prospecting plans, and managing the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract award. You will be supported by the Sales Director, a dedicated in-house studio and our marketing department.

Target sectors include Wines & Spirits, Confectionery, Perfumes & Cosmetics and Pharmaceuticals markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target and win new business opportunities across key market sectors
  • Develop and execute strategic prospecting plans to generate qualified leads
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers including Procurement, Packaging, Marketing and Operations teams
  • Generate appointments through proactive outreach, networking, referrals and industry events
  • Deliver compelling customer presentations, proposals and commercial negotiations
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition of new customers into the business
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, activity and opportunity reporting via Salesforce CRM
  • Represent the business at exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings
  • Achieve agreed new business revenue and margin targets
