SALARY £OPEN (Depending on Experience) + 20 Days Bank Holiday + Company Van + Travel Expenses Paid + Pension + Paid Weekends

Our client specialises in supplying, installing and supporting industrial machinery, providing clients with engineering expertise, maintenance and machinery improvement solutions. They are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer. Candidates must be willing and able to travel/occasionally stay overnight as required to carry out machinery installations, maintenance, servicing and improvement work.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join a growing business and work in a varied, hands-on role supporting clients with the installation, maintenance, servicing and improvement of a range of machinery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with clients to install and commission machinery, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults and identify opportunities to improve machinery performance, reliability and efficiency.

You will ideally have experience working with corrugated packaging machinery however my client is open to speaking to candidates with experience working on machinery in production, manufacturing, packaging or other industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installing and commissioning machinery and equipment at client sites
  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Responding to machinery breakdowns and minimising equipment downtime
  • Carrying out servicing, repairs and machinery modifications
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to machinery performance and reliability
  • Providing technical support and engineering expertise to clients
  • Working independently and managing engineering work at customer sites
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant health & safety procedures
  • Maintaining accurate records of service, maintenance and repair work

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled, Maintenance or Service Engineer
  • Strong mechanical and electrical engineering skills
  • Experience maintaining and repairing industrial or production machinery
  • Confident fault-finding and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues
  • Experience carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance
  • A proactive approach to improving machinery performance and reliability
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working independently and directly with clients
  • Experience within corrugated packaging machinery would be advantageous but is not essential
