Our client is an independent market leader in the design and manufacture of a wide range of transit packaging from timber, bespoke, heavy duty and corrugated packaging They are committed to delivering an unrivalled service underpinned by a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise.

They are currently looking to recruit an Internal Account Manager to join their team due to continued growth of the business. This role will be to inherit and manage a portfolio of accounts worth up to approx. £1million. Within this role, you will be tasked to look after these accounts and develop the area further.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overseeing sales for a portfolio of customers with a wide variety of requirements and spends and ensuring the company meet customer needs while achieving acceptable margins
  • Always ensuing you maintain high levels of customer service whilst also looking to develop additional sales or further opportunities with the customer
  • Overseeing various aspects of customer account management from simple sales orders to working with the design and innovation team when costing new enquiries or innovative designs, whilst also looking to try and develop new business opportunities with both current and potential clients
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management issues and matters
  • Focus on growing and developing existing clients along with trying to generate new business opportunities
  • Look to build, create and maintain long lasting client relationships
  • Develop relationships with key customers and contacts
  • Ensure that the company's products meet the needs of all of their customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with their products and services
  • Communicate with and provide feedback to the Head of Sales regarding any issues or fluctuations with customer spend or performance
  • Identify areas for improvement with their customer base and explore new product ranges, services or innovative ideas
  • Forecast and track account spends and usage figures
  • If required, prepare appropriate documents to report to the Head of Sales
  • Work with the rest of the sales team to identify new opportunities for the business
  • Act as a key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions
  • Play an integral role in ensuring existing customers' needs and expectations are always met
  • Set objectives and targets for each customer account
  • Quote new work using the NERP System
  • Support to implement price increases to both your own and colleagues' customers
  • Work with internal sales office to ensure the smooth running of all accounts with schedules, deliveries, etc
  • Work closely with the design and innovation team to ensure they turn around quotations and enquiries as quickly as possible
  • Look to maximise profit with the customer so where possible look into new designs/products
