HANDS-ON PRODUCTION MANAGER KENT

£Negotiable (Dep on Exp) + Paid Overtime

9am-5pm / Monday - Friday

20 Days + 8 Bank Holidays

We are recruiting for an established signage and graphics business looking for a hands-on Production Manager to take ownership of the production floor and lead a team of 3.
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Production Manager or strong Production Supervisor who enjoys being actively involved in production rather than sitting behind a desk.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organising and delivering production, whilst also getting involved in the practical side of the work and supporting the team when required.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and motivating a team of 3 production staff
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the production floor
• Planning and prioritising jobs
• Getting hands-on with production, finishing and workshop activities
• Ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved
• Troubleshooting production issues
• Managing materials and resources
• Improving workflow and production efficiency
• Checking finished work before dispatch
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop
• Leading by example and supporting the team during busy periods

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous production management or supervisory experience
• A background in signage, large-format print, graphics, POS or related production
• Strong practical/technical skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to organise people and workload effectively
• A genuinely hands-on approach
• The confidence to lead a small team and take ownership of production
