NEW VACANCY! (SN7383)

GRAPHIC DESIGNER / ARTWORKER

KENT

Up to £35K (Depending on experience) + Paid Overtime

Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Holiday: 20 days + 8 bank holidays

We are recruiting on behalf of an established signage and large-format graphics business that is looking to strengthen its production team with an experienced Graphic Designer / Artworker.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, understands the demands of large-format print and signage, and enjoys seeing their artwork progress from concept through to the finished product.

You will be responsible for creating artwork from scratch, redrawing and recreating logos, preparing client artwork to precise brand specifications and working directly with customers to manage proofs and amendments.

The Role:

  • Create professional artwork from scratch using Adobe Illustrator
  • Redraw, recreate and vectorise logos and existing artwork
  • Prepare artwork using accurate colour references to meet client branding requirements
  • Submit artwork proofs directly to clients
  • Manage client amendments and ensure artwork is signed off correctly
  • Set artwork print-ready for in-house production
  • Create and check cutlines where required
  • Ensure files meet the technical requirements of large-format printing
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure artwork translates correctly into finished graphics
  • Help maintain an efficient workflow between artwork and production
  • Troubleshoot artwork and production issues where required

Requirements:

  • Someone with Signage / Large Format industry experience rather than a purely creative/design background
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
  • Experience creating artwork from scratch
  • Experience preparing artwork for large-format print
  • Good understanding of colour matching and client brand guidelines
  • Confidence dealing directly with clients regarding proofs and amendments
  • Previous experience within signage, large-format print or graphics
  • A practical, hands-on approach to production
  • Good attention to detail and an organised approach to managing artwork
  • Knowledge of Onyx RIP would be a significant advantage
  • Experience operating roll-to-roll printers and laminators would also be highly beneficial, although the key requirement is someone who can bring strong artwork and large-format print knowledge to the role.
