Salary Guide £30K-40K (Depending on Experience) + Company Car or Allowance + Commission + 23 Days Holiday (3 Taken for Xmas Closedown) plus 8 Statutory Bank Holidays

Our client is a well-established, family-owned converter of packaging and board who is currently looking to expand their team.

They are currently looking for a Field Sales Representative to join their team. You will be selling products and services to existing and prospective customers and establishing positive business relationships to ensure future sales, reporting to the Commercial Director. This role is a split of 50% New Business and 50% Account Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Range: Solid Board Products, sheets, boxes, layer pads / slip sheets, converted parts etc
  • Recognise process and follow up suitable sales prospects as agreed with the Commercial Director
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities with existing and prospective customers
  • Build excellent relationships with customers and ensure that their needs are fully met
  • Respond promptly to all customer enquiries, communications, and requests
  • Deal satisfactorily with all customer queries within 1 working day of any query being raised, referring it to Management as necessary
  • Ensure all sales are completed within the timescales required by the customer and the standards set by the company
  • Visit customers and potential customers
  • Maintain existing customer relationships to generate repeat business
  • Provide assessments of customer needs
  • Review orders taken and sales completed on a weekly basis and advise Management on how profitability as well as service to the customer may be improved
  • Ensure that all invoices, finance statements, and other communications to customers are clear, unambiguous and easily understandable by all parties
  • Respond to any quality issues and ensure that this is escalated and resolved in a satisfactory manner at the earliest opportunity

Requirements:

  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word to an Intermediate Level
  • Competent using data and a good level of numeracy
  • Experience using CRM System, and Sales Tracker Database desirable
  • Previous experience in sales and/ or business development
  • Self-driven and highly motivated
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Results oriented

This role will require a flexible approach to start and finish times as it will involve extensive travel and require some overnight stays away from home.
