SALARY £40K (Flexible on Experience)

HOURS: Monday to Friday - 8am to 5pm

Our client is a leading corrugated packaging manufacturer, supplying to a variety of markets throughout the UK, they have made a vast investment into the business over the past few years and have experienced significant growth and increase in workload.

They are looking for a driven Compliance Manager to ensure operations adhere to the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for managing, maintaining and developing our Quality Systems specifically ensuring continuous alignment with BRCGS standards and relevant ISO frameworks. Working across sister companies, you will ensure their products remain safe, authentic, legal and of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support all site certifications, specifically BRC, relevant ISO standards and FSC
  • Review and update company policies, procedures, and manuals to ensure alignment with current laws and industry standards
  • Manage the Quality system and ensure documentation is inspection- and audit-ready at all times
  • Manage and support the Quality Officer with day to day activities and give guidance and support where required
  • Plan, schedule and conduct internal audits regarding BRC standards, ISO frameworks, and Good Manufacturing Practice
  • Lead and facilitate external third-party, customer, and regulatory audits
  • Perform routine compliance risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
  • Ensure timely root-cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented for any non-conformities
  • Working with the Production Manager analyse customer data and identify and support in-house training where regular shortfalls are recognised
  • Champion a strong safety, authenticity, and quality-focused culture among the workforce
  • Conduct compliance and policy training for new and existing staff
  • Ensure all employees are aware of their roles and responsibilities in maintaining compliance
  • Work closely with Operations, Production and the HR team to embed site rules and procedures
  • Assist in supplier assurance processes and maintain accurate data records (e.g., product specifications
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and present compliance reports to senior management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a compliance or quality management role within a manufacturing, production, or relevant environment with preference given to the packaging industry
  • Strong, demonstrable working knowledge of BRCGS and ISO certifications
  • Recognised Lead Auditor qualification (ISO or BRCGS) is highly desirable
  • Deep understanding of health, safety, and legislative requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office/Data Management
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
