They are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager. You will be responsible for proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities within a specified sales territory. Focused on driving sales growth by understanding customer needs and aligning their products and services to deliver tailored solutions. This role is 80% New Business and 20% Existing Accounts
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving increasing business revenue, identifying and developing new opportunities
- Build and expand the presence of the company and its brands
- Identify new markets and research emerging trends
- Develop a network of new contacts to attract new customers
- Research and identify new business opportunities
- Communicate with and visit customers
- Manage a sales pipeline to meet annual sales targets
- Develop deep product knowledge
- Ensure customers have the best experience
- Qualify leads and discover client needs
- Developing and management of existing customers
- Appropriate reporting to the Sales & Business Development Director when required
- Promote and act in accordance with group policies, values, systems and procedures
Requirements:
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
- Good commercial acumen and understanding of the market
- Able to win NEW business, cross sell and retain existing clients with profitable margins
- Able to negotiate price changes with new and existing clients
- Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets
- Achievement-driven and able to work to set KPIs and expectations
- Previous experience in Business Development and Sales within a manufacturing business
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good PC/computer skills
- Good analytical skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver against deadlines.
