Our client is a supplier of industrial packaging and transit solutions, supporting customers across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, engineering and distribution sectors. They supply a comprehensive range of packaging products including pallet hand wrap, machine stretch film, cardboard boxes, tapes, paper packaging products, wooden pallets and bespoke packaging solutions designed to protect products throughout the supply chain.
Due to their continued growth strategy, they are looking to strengthen their presence in the North East by recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven ability to generate new business and build long-term customer relationships.
This is a home-based role with the flexibility to manage your own diary while developing new business throughout the North East. Initially, your focus will be on identifying and winning new customers. Once secured, you will manage and grow those accounts, with the opportunity to take responsibility for additional existing customer accounts as the business continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect and secure new business opportunities across the North East.
- Develop a pipeline of new customers within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, and distribution sectors.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with customers by understanding their packaging requirements and providing tailored solutions.
- Promote and sell a comprehensive range of industrial packaging and transit products.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial agreements, and maximise profitable sales.
- Manage and develop customer accounts after winning the business.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain regular contact with key accounts.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure excellent service and on-time delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and new opportunities.
- Maintain accurate sales records and pipeline information.
- Represent the business professionally at all times.
