TERRITORY: West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Lancashire, South Yorkshire

Our client is a well-established corrugated packaging manufacturer based in West Yorkshire.

They are currently looking for a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join their team. You will play a pivotal role in promoting growth opportunities and generating new business generation within the targeted territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing customers
  • Develop new business opportunities and follow up on incoming enquiries, understanding customer requirements and working closely with designers, production, and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to clients
  • Participate and engage in marketing and lead generation campaigns
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on account status
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's product line, materials, and production processes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in an Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager preferably within the corrugated packaging or a related industry
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand and convey technical information clearly to customers
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer accounts effectively
  • Flexibility to handle pressure and adapt to a fast-paced work environment
