SALARY GUIDE: UP TO £45K (Depending on Experience) + Car/Car Allowance + Phone + Laptop
Our client is a well-invested independent print and folding carton manufacturer. With state-of-the-art printing presses, the latest folding technology, and a range of finishing equipment, they supply clients in the FMCG, confectionery, food, frozen food, cosmetics, healthcare & pharma, and pet care markets.
They are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their sales team. The role will involve a balanced focus of new business development and managing existing accounts (approx. 50/50 split).
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and target new business opportunities within the specified territory
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and addressing client needs promptly
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and growth objectives
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
- Utilise this information to inform sales strategies and identify new opportunities
- Prepare and present sales reports, and performance metrics to senior management
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
- Work closely with the internal team, including marketing, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of client projects and orders
- Travel nationally to meet with clients and prospects
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development and account management, ideally within the packaging industry, ideally Cartons
- Strong understanding of the folding carton market and related sectors
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and grow market share
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Full UK Driving Licence
