BENCH JOINER - EXHIBITIONS / DISPLAYS ESSEX

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm

Salary: Open, depending on experience + Paid Overtime

Our client is a well-established exhibition and display company specialising in the design and build of high-quality bespoke exhibition stands, retail displays, and experiential environments. Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Bench Joiner to join the production team. This is a hands-on workshop-based role, working as part of a skilled team to manufacture bespoke exhibition stands and display units to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have strong bench joinery skills and experience working with a variety of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manufacturing bespoke exhibition stands, display units, and joinery items from technical drawings
• Working with a variety of materials including MDF, plywood, laminates and solid timber
• Reading and interpreting CAD drawings and production briefs
• Assembling, finishing, and preparing items for dispatch and installation
• Using a range of woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
• Collaborating with designers, project managers, and installation teams
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
• Assisting with packing and preparing jobs for transport where required

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bench Joiner (ideally within exhibitions, displays or bespoke joinery)
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality of finish
• Experience using workshop machinery and hand tools
• Good time management and ability to work to tight deadlines
• Team player with a positive and proactive attitude
• Experience with CNC machinery (not essential)
