Our client is a successful and growing creative agency based in Surrey, they are looking to recruit an ambitious candidate to head up the department; This role has genuine long-term progression opportunities into senior management within the larger group.

This will be a hybrid position encompassing Studio Management and as an Account Director overseeing both factions including 3 Account Managers.

Studio Management Responsibilities:

  • To Manage the efficient use of all available resources in the Creative Services environment in order to deliver the right product to the correct timescale and for the agreed cost.
  • Maintaining the workflow system to ensure all relevant financial and project process information is available as required by clients, the Finance team and the Senior Management team.
  • To ensure all briefs are dispatched in the studio based on individual's strengths and skills
  • To review, improve and monitor workflow structure
  • To review daily work schedules of the creative department
  • Work to deliver the SLA's and KPI's required for individual customer accounts
  • Provide all daily / weekly / monthly reports required, specifically those for weekly WIP management, forecasting and month end
  • Managing annual leave of employees
  • To resource manage across both freelance and permanent staff
  • Ensure all invoices are completed accurately
  • Work with the Finance Department to ensure all finances / invoices are kept up to date and paid on time
  • Assist with other projects / accounts as and when requested
  • Maximise the margin generated for the business to achieve targets set
  • Support the account management team as required
  • Use the company's systems to maximise efficiencies
  • Travel to various offices throughout the UK for meetings with various clients as and when required
  • Be presentable and representative of the Company's image at all times

Account Director Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities are threefold: The management of client relationships at the highest level; The management and progression of the Account Team (2 x Account Managers and an Account Executive): and the daily administration and reporting of studio workflow, time and costs. As a senior point of contact for the agency's customers, the Account Director also co-ordinates the resources needed to service projects, builds strategic operational plans and balances the expectations of clients with the execution of creative work. Often you will be expected to plan campaigns, and successfully develop business accounts creatively and financially, while playing a positive role in your agency's new business programme.

  • Develop and progress the allocated customer accounts to achieve targets set by the business
  • Liaise with clients at a senior level on a day-to-day basis, working to deliver the SLA's and KPI's required for the allocated customer accounts
  • Ensure all project are completed to a specific schedule and within an agreed budget
  • Ensure all studio time / costs / invoices are up to date on the workflow system, the company's online workflow system, and that all projects are completed to a specific on time and on budget
  • Provide all monthly reports required for the allocated monthly accounts
  • To provide the utmost level of client service
  • Taking a lead in clients' marketing and advertising strategies
  • Pitching fresh and innovative ideas to clients
  • Working with other senior managers to generate new accounts
  • Maximise the margin generated for the business to achieve targets set
  • Promoting the expansion of business with existing clients
  • Using knowledge and skills to push clients the and agency in the most productive direction
  • Travel to various offices throughout the UK for meetings with various clients and / or the business as and when required
  • Be presentable and representative of the Company's image at all times.
