Production / Studio Manager - Large Format Print (Ref: SN2476)

Our client is a leading graphics, signage and large format print company, they have won awards for the manufacturer of their display and graphics, offering a superb range of point of sale, graphics, indoor and outdoor signage, posters and exhibition stands.

They are currently looking to recruit a Production / Studio Manager, this is a senior position reporting directly to the Directors you will be in control of Production staff (6 employees in total) and your duties will be expected but is not limited to and is by no means exhausted or restrictive.


  • You will be expected to work with and support the Assistant Production Manager at all times
  • Manage and schedule the workflow from the artwork stage to dispatch
  • Manage all members of production staff, holidays, sickness, overtime and shift working, which may also include weekend work along with occasional night shift
  • Manage stock control, including the ordering, and liaising with the Financial Controller over stock
  • This also includes the overall responsibility of goods in against goods received and the tying up of paperwork on a regular basis to maintain a controlled purchasing procedure
  • To oversee the overall maintenance of all machines, to ensure health and safety is adhered to at all times and that general good housekeeping is maintained
  • You will have a full working knowledge of the Adobe suite software along with practical use of software RIPS
  • You will be expected to liaise with customers over the phone and in person
  • A daily production meeting is held which you will be required to attend and lead
  • Also as a senior employee you will be expected to attend management and directors meetings and present reports when also required
  • Continuous improvement & health & safety within the company would be partly your responsibility, it is expected that you will not only lead by example but also take an active role in implementing procedures, policy's and practical matters relating to both
  • The job will be an ever expanding role and will require you to be able to communicate at all levels
  • You must have a proven track record in managing a busy large format production department
