LEAD INSTALLER - GRAPHICS / LARGE FORMAT

ESSEX

Up To £30K + Van + Tools + Phone + Travel Expenses + Lots Of Overtime Available

Flexible approach to working hours although these will primarily be:
Shift 1 - 6pm - 3am Sunday to Thursday (1 hour break)
Shift 2 - 6am - 3pm Monday to Friday (1 hour break)

Willing to travel to other locations in the group occasionally (Harlow, Essex, Tottenham Hale, Central London and Thundridge, Hertfordshire)

Our client is one of the UK's most reputable large format print companies with a strong history dating back over 30 years. Due to a recent investment and increased expansion they are recruiting a high calibre Lead Installer to join their team.

The chosen candidate will take ownership and accountability for the installation operations of your van to ensure installation timelines are adhered to and efficiently achieved. As a Lead Installer you will have overall responsibility for your van, your assistant and any subcontractors working under you. You will take accountability for installing various types of graphics to the best possible standard.

Initial Duties:

  • With the help of the Installation Manager, familiarising yourself and your assistant with the type of jobs they install, the type of graphics they produce and the way the business operates

Day to Day Duties:

  • Installing a variety of graphics on site inc. vinyl, wallpapers, dye sublimation fabrics, hanging panels, lightboxes and more
  • Being the nominated Site Lead when working with Subcontractors
  • Liaising with clients on site
  • Carrying out site surveys
  • Remain a constant point of reference during your shift for the Installation Teams and Project Managers when required.
  • Signing off and understanding RAMS and installation packs for the job
  • Briefing your Assistant on the jobs for that shift
  • Feeding back progress of the job to Project Managers
  • Completing the job, capturing photos and client sign off form site before leaving
  • Reporting to the Group Installation Manager

Installation Management:

  • You will be responsible for the H&S and welfare of your Assistant and any Contractors that you engage on your job
  • Along with the installation Manager, you will be responsible for the development and training of your assistant
  • Managing your van and equipment
  • Advising the installation manager of mileage, servicing, tyres and tool replacements.
  • Promoting good health and safety culture within the department and whilst working on site
  • Carrying out any other duties as instructed by Management as and when required

People / Team Leadership:

  • This role has 1 direct report and overall responsibility for contractors on site as / and when required

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience/knowledge of large format print/signage Industry
  • In depth knowledge on installation processes, timeframes and potential issues
  • Proven hands on experience in the installation of all varieties of graphics
  • Ability to manage, develop and coach Juniors
  • Strong multitasking ability, demonstrating experience working on own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex jobs, multiple changes and tight deadlines
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent team player and work ethic
