An opportunity has arisen within our client for a Flexo Printer. An international leader in producing responsible packaging for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical, home and personal care markets amongst others. An award winning innovator with a sustainability policy making them the preferred partner for global brands.

The role of the Printer is to operate a print press to deliver optimum quality printed product and throughput whilst fully complying with the company health & safety regulations.

Job Requirements:

  • Forward planning to ensure that work schedules are achieved.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping and general tidiness within the working environment whilst strictly adhering to the Health & Safety policies.
  • Carry out risk assessments of any new activity that needs to be performed within your area.
  • Report any faulty materials or equipment to your Leader and Engineering.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of raw materials are called off and available for the following shift.
  • Be constantly vigilant to prevent process or quality faults and ensure a thorough examination of the material is carried out at the end of each reel and that all faults are logged via the reporting system and flagged at the appropriate location(s) within the printed reel(s). In addition, support line management in undertaking appropriate remedial action to correct the faults.
  • Assist in the delivery of agreed company training plans in areas required to develop you to agreed standards to run other print presses within the function.
  • Take an active role in developing world-class manufacturing principles and assist with the implementation of same.

  • Checking work instructions to ensure all parameters are correct.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in Flexographic printing and a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be preferable.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An effective team player.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work.
  • Proactive and flexible approach.
  • Good time keeping and attendance.
