Business Development Role - Luxury Packaging (Ref: PK6222)




Salary dependent on experience + Bonus and Package which will be discussed / agreed with the successful candidate

Our client is one of the world's largest suppliers of premium presentation packaging, they work directly with premium brands throughout the world to design, innovate and manufacture, quality and cost-effective packaging.

Their UK partner is currently looking to recruit a new member to their team to undertake a Business Development role to help them embark upon a new exciting phase of growth.

Main Responsibilities / Requirements:

  • Proactively identifying new profitable business opportunities within the packaging market and converting to new accounts
  • In depth market knowledge of premium packaging and matching new clients to production capabilities
  • Establishing long term client relationships in a variety of markets, founded on growth & partnership
  • Self-management of diary and planning sales activity, ensuring KPI's are hit


  • Current experience in the premium packaging business ideally having knowledge of the rigid box and carton market
  • Knowledge of working with remote manufacturing facilities, ideally in Asia
  • A record of solution-based sales success based on client/market knowledge
  • Existing relationships within the packaging markets such as wines and spirits, homewares (porcelain, home fragrance etc), beauty, fashion etc
  • Use of CRM based systems to allow effective management of the sales process

  • Be target driven with confidence to 'hit the ground running' and self-generate opportunities
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate with a keen eye to achieve creative solutions
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision in a remote working environment
  • Be highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads & manage this effectively
  • Be confident and happy to cold call and conduct face to face sales
  • Good team working ability particularly managing remote relationships to achieve given goals
  • Good project management skills to deliver client projects in an efficient and timely manner
  • Keeping up to date in the industry and on trends in the market
  • Able to work in a small company environment
  • Be detail attentive and confident in multi-managing an array of customers and projects
  • Able to build solid personal working relationships both internally and externally
  • Be flexible on working hours when the need arises
  • To attend and represent the company at trade shows
  • Mobile as this would be a nationwide role
  • Have a keen interest in premium product / packaging
