General Operations Manager
Our client is an international packaging manufacturer who is currently looking for a General Operations Manager to be responsible for their UK distribution site. The role will incorporate management of key areas such as Logistics, Health & Safety, HR and Finance departments.
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver results: Establish and implement the Strategic Plan for UK Operations through collaboration with senior management and an in depth analysis and review of current internal and external business conditions, external global market conditions and availability of resources.
- Implement and manage UK Human Resources processes and tools to improve quality of hires and overall job performance.
- Optimize on time shipments through improvement activities and programs.
- Promote safety in operations in compliance with UK Health & Safety and Environmental Standards.
- Drive and the lead the focus on quality improvement through the establishment of best practices, processes and methods including Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Perform tactical management of UK Production and Logistics groups, including functions of order entry, production, packing, stocking, shipping and invoicing.
- Planning and management of department finances to stay within the UK budget. Provide fiscal leadership and expense controls.
