Flexographic Originator

Our Client is offering the chance to join a leading packaging design and branding agency. With an impressive client base, they offer full service of design, artwork and repro from one off speciality packs to full range of lines across multiple pack formats and print processes.
 

They currently require an Originator to be based on client site with a Flexographic Printer.

• Check, measure and verify all data files and proofs produced within the studio.
• Proofreading copy for accuracy 
• Ensure print specific instructions and specifications are followed.
• Using virtual proofing and conventional quality control procedures to inspect packaging artwork, for correct copy, trapping and print specifications.
• Maintain brand consistency within range. 
• Advises on print process suitability and the application of print process requirements on digital artwork.
• Manage on-time delivery of files 
• Assist in the continual improvement of file creation via root cause analysis and process review
• Ensuring Mac operators use correct/consistent procedures for origination of digital data
• Collation of all materials required for printer.

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail - Ability to quickly identify mistakes and inconsistencies in copy, graphics and mechanicals.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, briefs, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong flexographic print process experience
