Sales Executive - Flexible
Our client supplies packaging products to the fresh produce industry. They are currently recruiting for an office based Sales Executive to establish, maintain and continually develop profitable business relationships with key fresh produce packers. To take responsibility for the profitability of a complete defined sector within the market, from sale to delivery, ensuring highest level of customer service, and solution selling to increase opportunities against agreed targets
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish, maintain and develop new and existing commercially beneficial relationships with selected supermarket packers within the fresh produce packaging industry
- Establish, maintain and develop commercially beneficial relationships with suppliers as necessary to fulfil function
- Achieve and exceed sales/trading objectives, in terms of profit and turnover, as agreed with the managing director
- Identify, agree and implement new business activity to maximise market share
- Understand and communicate technical issues with customer commercial teams where necessary and liaise on these issues with suppliers technical and quality teams
- Maintain and control stock and sales order processing systems
- To liaise with the customer to facilitate production planning
- Develop and maintain an up-to date knowledge of the market sector – trends, competitor activity and product lines
- Liaise with operations, transport and warehouse etc to ensure quality and timely delivery of product
The ideal candidate will have a proven sales turnover within the target market sector, will be a strong negotiator, able to work independently as well as part of a team and will have a full clean driving licence.
